This Sunday we will have two service sites.
At Joe's (fighting his second bout with cancer and the treatments makes it hard to keep up with yard/leaves): We will be raking and blowing leaves onto tarps, etc.
At Ray's (an 84 year old gentleman who wants to stay in his home but cannot afford all of the maintenance needed) We will be clearing a gutter/downspout, scraping and painting two soffits and, if someone wants to tackle this: A drawer that won't open in his kitchen and a towel rack that has come loose in his bathroom.
Here's a few pics of Ray's needs...
Tools/Material to bring if you have them:
@ Joe's: rakes, leaf blowers, tarps, eye protection, gas or electric trimmer
@ Ray's: extension ladders, paint brushes, (I will bring the paint and the rollers and roller pans), a paint scraper or putty knife, a a screw driver and pliers (to take off downspouts if necessary) a tarp to catch paint drips, eye protection, random tools for anyone who wants to repair the kitchen drawer and/or towel rack. (There is a hardware store close by in case we need to pick up something for those repairs).
If you have none of the above tools, no worries. It always works out and some are able to bring extra tools for those who need them.
As always, thank you!
